It’s World Music Day this weekend and the Indian Music Experience (IME) is hosting weekend-long events spanning a range of musical genres.
Artistes Shruti Bode, Yogeesh Bhat and Vignesh Bhagwat will be part of the Morning Raga, a concert of Hindustani music on June 22. Akoda, a trio from Reunion Island, known for their Creole jazz renditions will be performing that evening. The following day will see Heramb and Hemanth, the Flute Brothers, usher in the morning with a Carnatic flute concert. Later, trans-traditional rock band Gauley Bhai will hold a jam session and a concert.
