Brigade Enterprises has launched a residential project called ‘Brigade Icon Residences’ in Chennai with an estimated revenue potential of more than ₹1,800 crore. The real estate company, in a filing to the stock exchanges on Wednesday, said that the residential project, a part of an exquisite high-end mix use development, is located in the heart of Chennai’s historic Mount Road.The mixed-use development project will provide a combination of residential, retail as well as office spaces, thereby setting a new benchmark in urban living, the company informed the bourse.In the ‘Brigade Icon Residences’ project, there will be a total of 38 floors in addition to a ground floor, featuring three, four and five bed flats with areas starting from 2,500 sqft. The project has a development potential of 0.6 million sqft.Brigade Group has stated in a press release on June 12, 2024, that it plans to invest more than ₹8,000 crore in the city of Chennai by the year 2030 for expanding its business, with a strong pipeline of projects across the spectrum of residential, office, retail and hospitality for over 15 million sq ft.Just the Gross Development Value (GDV) of the Residential Projects stands at an estimated value of more than ₹13,000 crore.The ‘Brigade Icon’ project has been designed by the globally renowned architect SOG Design that is based out of Singapore.The leading real estate developer, Brigade Group has already completed over 5 million sqft construction in Chennai. The company plans to launch residential projects of over 3 million sqft in FY25, along with about 1 million sqft of commercial development in the city.“We are aware of the significance of Mount Road to the people of Chennai, and are very happy to bring Brigade Icon to the city’s most iconic location. Not only is this one of the most important launches for Brigade in Chennai; it is also the most premium project in our residential portfolio,” said the Managing Director of Brigade Enterprises, Pavitra Shankar.Shares of Brigade Enterprises were trading 4% lower at ₹1,342 apiece on the NSE at close.
